Unfortunately the related opportunities function does not solve our requirement. Basically what we need is a way for management to distinguish between opportunities at wholesaler level and sub-opportunities at end-customer level, thereby being able to see the "true" pipeline. The way the system works currently, the pipeline will be artificially inflated, because the same volume is represented in numerous opportunities.
Any suggestions on how to solve this? Currently we are considering using different forecast categories for opportunities and sub-opportunities, thereby enabling us to distinguish between them in reports. This is however not a nice solution from a user perspective imo...
