That's a interesting test case. I just did that and where ever I have used special expression binding no data is displayed. So that dialog doesn't show any data either. Though there is no error in the console.
One thing with data-sap-ui-xx-bindingSyntax="complex" in index.html and deploying to the SAP hana cloud platform to register to the SAP Fiori Launchpad (FLP) it does work (haven't tested with out it yet).
